Art Reach reserves the right to remove an item from the competition that does not follow the guidelines established by the Art Flair Committee. All items are the property of Art Reach and will be returned to Art Reach/their representative on the schedule established by the Art Flair Committee.
All artwork must be the artist’s original artwork. Trademarked content is NOT allowed. Any entry that infringes upon another’s copyright including but not limited to popular movie, game, and TV characters, trademarked logos, actors or musicians will be disqualified from the cash prizes.
The artwork should be of family appropriate content with a broader appeal. Keep in mind that this is a community event and fundraiser.
Both professional and non-professional artists may sign up to participate in the Art Flair competition beginning in March by filling out the form online or at Art Reach.
Artists will be selected by the committee based on a first come, first served basis. Each artist will be allocated only one (1) item unless there is a shortage of artists based on the number of pieces available.
By entering the competition, the artist grants permission to Art Reach to reproduce images of the artwork for publicity and marketing purposes. Artists are responsible for the collection and return of the item to the designated locations on the designated schedule established by the Art Flair Committee.
Embellishments are allowed. Keep in mind the embellishments will need to be weather proofed, using Spar Urethane. Decoupage, stickers, glued items, and marker are not appropriate options.
While alterations may be made, the item that you receive must be the item returned to Art Reach/Host for the competition. Dimensions of the finished piece must be no larger than 34” across on one side and must fit through a doorway.
Artists should understand that the items will be displayed outdoors and must be finished with Spar Urethane.
First, second and third place prizes for the youth and adult categories will be awarded by a jury of community members. A single prize will be awarded for People’s Choice-popular vote.
Judges are selected solely by the Art Flair Committee. There will be a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5.
Items will be sold by silent auction at the end of the competition. A paid receipt must be presented to a member of the committee or Art Reach staff to claim an item. Items should be paid and removed as quickly as possible at the conclusion of the event.
Art Reach assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage to the items before, during or after the event.
