Watercolor batik is a method of painting melted wax on Japanese rice paper and using watercolor paint. This technique creates a loose look that cannot be achieved with traditional watercolor methods. You will get great results learning this fun and exciting technique. We will start by looking at examples and begin with a pre-planned design to learn the process. The process involves sketching, waxing by value, and crackling. Later, you will get to do a design of your choice. You may bring in inspirational photos, sketches or drawings for inspiration.
