Art Reach Classes - Summer 2008
Our Spring
schedule offers unique classes for kids and adults, such as painting,
drawing and printmaking. Even a
workshop to help you find your creative self!
To register
complete the
Summer Flyer & Registration Form and mail to the
address provided or call Art Reach to register at least one week before
classes begin.
Youth Theatre Workshop
Monday - Friday, June 23 - 27, 9 a.m. - noon
Instructor: Rick Stevens
Take advantage of this fun and unique opportunity! This energetic class
is designed to help children learn about theatre through skits, plays
and fun games. Children 7 - 12 will develop theatre skills and build
confidence about speaking in front of others in a fun and interactive
manner.
Class Fee: $65.00
Adult Garden Sculpture
Saturday, June 21 & June 28, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m
Instructor: Liz Wing
Kick off the summer by creating a mosaic bird bath for your yard! This
class, which starts the day after summer officially begins, will allow
you to explore your creativity by creating a functional piece
of art for you to enjoy. We will be working outside in the sunshine if
the weather permits. Bring a bag lunch with you and we will provide a
treat!
Class Fee: $50.00
Kids Summer Art Camp 1
Ages 7-12
Monday - Friday, July 14 - 18, 10 a.m. - noon
Instructor: Liz Wing
This class for ages 7 -12 will give your child a variety of fun and
interesting art projects to do. This
first week will offer drawing, tie-dye, acrylic painting, beaded wall
hanging, and watercolor painting. These creative projects will teach
kids various art techniques in a way they will definitely enjoy.
Class Fee: $65.00
Chalk Art/Street Painting
Saturday, July 19 - time to be determined
Instructor: Lee Jones
This fun free workshop will teach you techniques to create your own
chalk art that you can share
with the downtown community during sidewalk sales!
Class Fee: FREE!
Kids Summer Art Camp II
Monday - Friday, August 11 - 15, 10 a.m. - noon
Instructor: Liz Wing
This is the same concept as the previous art camp but with different
activities. Feel free to have your kids take one or both! This second
week will offer abstract painting, mask creation, animal texture with
acrylic paint, beaded adornment and sky landscape watercolor painting.
We will provide a snack for both sessions.
