Chinese Watercolor Class

Chinese traditional water colour class---Study of Song Dynasty (960-1279) flowers and birds. Chinese painting has 2000 years of history. In this class students are going to learn some basic Chinese water colour techniques through copying the Song Dynasty classic paintings. For beginner, flowers and birds are the best subjects to start with. We are going to use some original size prints to study. Students are going to use rice paper, animal hair brushes, Chinese water colour made from plants and mineral stones. No drawing foundation necessary, anybody could learn this ancient artform.

Rag Rug Making
