Chick Powers July 8 - 30, 2011 About the Artist: "I've been a working artist for 35 years, concentrating on wood scuplture. I began sculpting life-size exotic animal skulls, and have progressed into 3/4 life-size human figures. My fascination with the "compositions" of the skeletal structure dominates the look of weach piece. The copper and brass overlays stress and provide the countours and provide a unique and provocative esthetic to the sculptures." ~Chick Powers

People are my passion and in Puerto Vallarta there are plenty of colorful people, artifacts and flowers to paint. Pat Coen and Kate Lucas May 23 - June 10, 2011 About the Artists: Coen and Lucas are long time Mt. Pleasant residents who have worked in many of the same mediums throughout their careers. Each with somewhat different emphasis, they have worked with clay, weaving, sewing and jewelry.

This year's Guild of over 35 members are active in promoting the appreciation and growth of the visual arts in our area through individual mentoring, class demonstrations and instruction, area shows and exhibits.
