Scholarships
Scholarships Available!
High School Seniors and 8th graders are eligible to apply for the
Stephenson Creative Writing Scholarship or the Folkert Scholarship which
are offered through Art Reach.
Deadline for applications is April 18. Information on scholarships
below.
FOLKERT SCHOLARSHIP
Art Reach of Mid Michigan is offering a scholarship to Blue Lake Fine Arts
Camp in memory of Kendall Folkert.
This partial scholarship for one two-week summer session in fine or visual
arts is open to any student who will be entering the ninth grade the
following fall. The applicant should demonstrate enthusiasm and talent in
instrumental
music, choir, theatre, dance or visual arts. Formal training or
outstanding work in the areas of interest is not necessary.

CREATIVE WRITING AWARD
Art Reach of Mid Michigan is currently accepting submissions for the
annual creative writing award. This award was established in memory of Jo
Stephenson, a professional journalist employed with Central Michigan
University until her death in 1991.
This $250 cash award may be used in any way the recipient feels will be
most beneficial in helping to develop his/her writing.
