Volunteer

We exist BECAUSE of our volunteers!  Please contact us at 773-3689 if you are able to lend your time
and/or talents for any of the following Art Reach programs.

Art Reach Picture Program:
Volunteers spend 1 to 2 hours once a month from October through May in an area elementary school discussing two fine art reproductions each month. This is a great opportunity to share the wonderful world of art with students in any of the 33 schools we service. You do not need to know anything about art to do this volunteer work. Art Reach provides all the research materials and a two hour training session to help you get started. You do need to enjoy working with children and you will find that helping them to understand, enjoy and appreciate the arts will be one of the most rewarding things you have ever done.



Art Reach on Broadway Gallery and Gift Shop:
Volunteers are needed to serve as shop clerks in our unique gift shop. Shifts usually run about 3 hours each. You can work every week or once a month; we’re happy to have new smiling faces and know you’ll enjoy working here. Shifts run from 10-2 and 2-5:30 on Tuesday through Saturday. We need extra help during Holiday Art Mart, Sidewalk Sales, Mardi Gras and the Art Walk.


Healing Arts:
Volunteer artists are needed to provide hands on art projects for local retirement facilities once a month. This is a program which we’re hoping will provide local residents the opportunity to experience visual and performing arts and perhaps participate in an exhibit of work produced from this program. You arrange the schedule with the care facility. Please consider helping with this very important project.


Gallery Set Ups:
Volunteers are needed to help set up and change gallery exhibits each month. Galleries are located at Art Reach on Broadway, Mid Michigan Health Park and Veterans Memorial Library.
