Art Reach Picture Program
The Art Reach Picture Program, which started in 1984, has been a cornerstone program since its inception. Volunteers, parents, administrators, and docents work together to instill the roots of a life-long enjoyment of art in more than 7,500 elementary students. Trained docents travel to local schools each month to present an art history lesson featuring fine art reproductions to young students in mid-Michigan communities. The program has won numerous awards over the years including the 1998 MEA Educational Project Award and the 1996 Governors Arts Award for Arts in Education.

Day with the artists
Day With the Artists is a day-long art immersion for local students. Volunteers and artists demonstrate various artistic forms and media, as well as display finished pieces and works-in-progress. The program rotates each semester to a different school in order to expose students to art.
Artwork from school children in mid-Michigan is featured in this annual calendar. The individual pieces are hung in a week-long exhibition in The Morey Family Gallery in early November. A reception is held for these aspiring artists. Calendars are available for purchase in the Art Reach on Broadway consignment shop.
