Adult Art Camp at Proud Lake

Step away for a weekend and indulge your inner child at Art Camp for adults! Hosted at the picturesque Proud Lake Recreation Area on the Huron River, you can enjoy the first signs of spring while hiking, relaxing by the campfire, and, of course, creating art. Two or three nights of lodging at the Proud Lake River Hawk Lodge are provided, along with meals, supplies, and art instruction. A variety of media and projects will be explored, so there is something for everyone!

‍The weekend art camp is held April 10-12 at the River Hawk Lodge and Conference Center, 3500 Wixom Road, Commerce Twp, MI. Campers have the option to add on an additional night with meals and art activities beginning on April 9.

‍Lodging options include limited single-occupancy rooms or double occupancy. You may make a note of your preferred roommate during registration. Overnight lodging at the River Hawk Lodge is not required to participate in activities. Meals will be included for day campers as well.

· Assorted cotton fabric *If add-on day selected- fat quarters, scraps, etc. Art Reach will provide some as well.

· 9-12p- Sewing project part 2: Assemble tote bag or pillow form & ice dye, Improv quilted pillows or bedside pocket caddy

· 12-2:30pm – Lunch and Free Time

Friday, April 10- Weekend Art Camp

· 3-5-pm – Self led craft stations: Perler beads, watercolor bookmarks, visible mending, Sashiko stitching, Slow stitch & Kawandi, origami

· 6-7pm – Dinner- Burger Bar

· 7-9pm – Personalized Art Aprons- Fabric Painting

Saturday, April 11

· 7:30-9am – Continental Breakfast

· 9-12p- Prep Book/Junk Journal Covers, Pressed Botanical Mandalas or Luminary

· 12-2:30pm – Lunch and Free Time

· 2:30-5:30pm- Book Binding with Coptic Stitch, Polymer Clay projects

· 6-7pm – Dinner

· 7-9pm – Free time / Work on projects /Nightcap Crafts- self led
