Come make your next favorite jacket with those previously sewn orphan blocks or an unused quilt. Instructor Tanya Ehrsam will guide you in using those leftovers to make something stylish and functional. You could also use a layer cake pack of fabric, or a quilt top you haven't sewn together yet. We'll add an oversized sweatshirt and make the comfiest, coolest jacket all your friends will want.

Students will spend this two-session course deconstructing a sweatshirt and layering their block choices to assemble and add structure to create a flattering jacket fit. Students will need the equivalent of 3-4 yards of total fabric to finish their jackets. Please bring your sewing machine, coordinating quilt blocks/layer cake, and coordinating thread to the first class session. Patterns and instructions will be provided. If you do not have a machine, Art Reach will be able to provide one.

Join instructor Tanya Ehrsam for a relaxing afternoon of patchwork quilting. Following the “Flights of Fancy” quilting pattern by Truly Materialistic, students will learn how to cut and piece their table runner top, layer batting and backing, and finish by quilting. You will leave with a functional piece of art that can be used any time of year, depending on the color scheme. You will be provided a supply list with the yardage needed of cotton fabric so the project can be suited to your color preference. Students may keep their copy of the pattern for future use.

Club Create offers adults with disabilities hands-on experiences in the arts, led by professional artists. WCMU Public Media will host April's Kids & Culture from 10 am until noon on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Art Reach 111 E. Broadway in downtown Mt. Pleasant. Come explore the Michigan Learning Channel with WCMU Public Media! Participants will receive a "ROAR Explorer Card" to get stamped as they work their way through each station. Join instructor Matthew Grimmer for a 2-session crash course in charcoal drawing. Students will learn the basics of building up a drawing using the properties unique to the medium. Students will learn to draw from life using a still-life setup by the instructor. In the first session, we focus on building loosely and identifying shapes and measurements early on, to establish a strong base for the second session. Here, we will finish our drawing by learning techniques such as line weight, shading, and creating an illusion of depth. Celebrate this spring with color, creativity, and a flock of feathered inspiration! Led by instructor Cheryl Meyer, you’ll focus on capturing the charm, movement, and personality of birds through expressive painting techniques. Each week in this 4-session course will feature a different warbler, and this class will guide you in bringing them to life on paper.

Perfect for beginner to intermediate artists, we’ll explore watercolor fundamentals such as wet-on-wet, layering, and texture while also learning how to sketch dynamic bird forms, render feathers, and create harmonious backgrounds. This series helps build your skills and confidence in watercolor.

This 4-week course will be held weekly from 3-5:30 pm on Wednesday, April 15-May 6, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, MI. Select from the discounted full course or individual sessions.

Join instructor Matthew Grimmer for a 2-session crash course in charcoal drawing. Students will learn the basics of building up a drawing using the properties unique to the medium. Students will learn to draw from life using a still-life setup by the instructor. In the first session, we focus on building loosely and identifying shapes and measurements early on, to establish a strong base for the second session. Here, we will finish our drawing by learning techniques such as line weight, shading, and creating an illusion of depth. This workshop is ideal for anyone looking to explore a new medium or learn to draw from life.

Art Reach of Mid Michigan invites you to an evening of mystery, intrigue, and unforgettable entertainment at our annual Murder Mystery fundraiser.

Step into a world of fine art and deception at The Great Gallery Grab, an Art Heist–themed murder mystery set in a glamorous museum gallery. A priceless work of art has been stolen, and every guest is a potential suspect. As the evening unfolds, clues will surface, secrets will be revealed, and it will be up to you to help uncover the truth.

Guests will enjoy an interactive theatrical performance, a delicious catered dinner by Mountain Town Station, specialty drinks, and a silent auction featuring exciting travel experiences and unique items. Come dressed for a night at the gallery and prepare to immerse yourself in the mystery.

All proceeds from the evening support the programs of Art Reach of Mid Michigan, helping us inspire creativity and connection throughout our community.
