Do you love your house plants? Bring at least one of your favorite house plants and learn how to paint their portrait! Teacher Annie Croft will guide students through composition and color choices, bringing your potted pet to life. Each student will paint an acrylic painting on a 16x20 canvas. Join us for an Introduction to Linocut course and explore the world of relief printing! In this two-week course, you’ll learn how to carve designs into linoleum blocks and turn your creations into beautiful prints. Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, instructor Emily Gunning will guide you step-by-step through the carving, inking, and printing processes. By the end of the class, you’ll have your own unique art pieces and the skills to keep exploring this expressive medium.

In this two-week course, you'll learn the fundamentals of relief printing with linoleum.

Class 1: Focuses on carving and transforming your designs into a relief medium.

Class 2: Covers printing, including single-color and multi-color techniques.

To commemorate the holiday, students will select from festive seasonal forms, colorful rods & frits, and utilize simple snipping tools on glass to create beautiful and functional miniature artworks. Jenny will provide an assortment of floral and foliar specimens already pressed and dried, to be artfully arranged as trees or wreaths in framed artworks. As every specimen is unique, so are the resulting artworks. Students will be guided in best practices for pressing their own botanicals to continue their journey in this medium. Gardening and nature enthusiasts will be delighted to have beautiful artworks displaying the intricate details and vibrant colors of the natural world preserved in glass. All supplies are provided.

Join instructor Cheryl Meyer for an immersive and skill-building 3-week workshop focused on creating stunning autumn landscape paintings with watercolors. Join instructor Tanya Ehrsam for a fun fiber workshop creating coiled rope bowls. Perfect for using up that fabric stash, strips of fabric are wrapped, coiled, and sewn into functional, art-forward vessels to be used or decoratively displayed. Rope bowls make a great handmade gift for loved ones!

You will be provided assorted fabrics, or you may bring cotton fabrics of your own to suit your color preference. You are welcome to bring your sewing machine, or Art Reach will provide a machine if needed. Only basic sewing machine experience is needed, and all supplies are provided.
