Quilt While You're Ahead! (Day 2)

  • Art Reach of Mid Michigan 111 E. Broadway St Mt. Pleasant United States (map)

Join instructor Cara Denison to make a quilt in a weekend! Designed for beginner quilters, this two-day course will help students learn the basics of improvisational quilting and connect with other creatives. Art Reach can provide a sewing machine (though you're welcome to bring your own) and instruction, with assorted cotton fabric from our stash. Bring the fabric you've been hoarding, or grab some old sheets or flannels ready to be repurposed, and let's make a quilt top!

Aside from your own fabric choices, you will need batting big enough for the quilt size you desire. You can certainly purchase new cotton, polyester, or wool OR repurpose old flannel sheets, blankets, mattress covers, towels, and more!

This two-day workshop will be held 1-3 pm on Saturday, February 28 & Sunday, March 1 in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.

Recommended age: 14 and up
