Deepen your understanding of oil painting with artist Matthew Grimmer. Over this weekend's intensive workshop, students will work quickly with a limited palette, while learning the essentials of oil painting and draughtsmanship as we paint from a floral-themed still life. Students can expect to primarily focus on structure and paint application, as we work with earthen-tone and natural pigments to express our subject. This class is welcome to all skill levels.

This 2-day workshop will be held from 2-5:30 pm on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24 in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.

Recommended age: 16 and up
