Step into the vibrant world of Frida Kahlo through this focused acrylic painting class led by instructor Cheryl Meyer. Students will recreate Frida’s symbolic still life, The Fruit of Life. Known for its rich color, lush tropical imagery, and deep personal symbolism, this painting reflects Kahlo’s fascination with life, fertility, and Mexican identity.
This class is perfect for those who admire Kahlo’s work and want to deepen their understanding by engaging hands-on with one of her lesser-known but deeply meaningful paintings. All levels are welcome—no prior experience required. You may select from 11×14 or 16×20 canvases.
This class will be held from 5-8 pm, Tuesday, July 22, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant
Recommended age: 16 and up
