Bring your bestie and join us for a Galentine’s Night of candle & jewelry making. Instructor Kim Bigard will guide students in creating a soy-wax pint jar candle, with a large selection of fragrance oils, colorants, and botanical additions. We’ll follow with creating unique jewelry items. Art Reach will provide a huge assortment of beads, baubles, and jewelry findings, arranged buffet style, along with instruction, to create your jewelry pieces of choice. Makers of all experience can participate. If you already know your way around some techniques, you can dive right in and help yourself to the buffet. New to jewelry making? No problem! Kim will demonstrate techniques such as simple strung necklaces or bracelets with knots & closures, stacked bead & teardrop earrings, and using the appropriate findings for your creations.
We’ll even provide snacks for the occasion. Bring a friend, your beverage of choice and get creative with us on Galentine’s Night!
This workshop will be held from 5:30-7:30 pm on Friday, February 13, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway in Mount Pleasant.
Recommended age: 18 and up
