Join instructor Tanya Ehrsam for an introduction to patchwork quilting. Following the “Serenity” quilting pattern, students will learn how to cut and piece their lap quilt top, layer batting and backing, and finish by quilting. You will leave with a functional piece of art that can be used daily or displayed on a wall. You will be provided a supply list with the yardage needed of cotton fabric so the project can be suited to your color preference.
This 2-week workshop will be held on Sundays from noon to 4 pm, January 18 & 25, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Students should bring their selected fabric and their own sewing machine. If you do not have a machine, Art Reach will provide one. Students should have some prior machine sewing experience.
Recommended age: 16 and up
